How a 55 Plus Senior Community Website Came to Life.

When a custom home developer in Dallas, Texas contacted us to help launch the website for The Cottages at Burnett Trail, their first 55 plus senior community – with many more to follow – there was a bit of a conundrum. They wanted the website live before the community “went vertical.”

That meant they didn’t have much to show in their senior community website, but that didn’t worry us. It was a challenge we welcomed, because we have experience working in the 55 plus senior community housing industry.

What’s Most Important for Active Adult Communities?

They shared what the community was going to offer, and we knew what’s important to people moving into a new community, and new phase of life.

We understand moving into a new home can be an emotional decision. And we knew if we could showcase all the benefits of that 55 plus senior community, not having exterior images wouldn’t be a problem. Those would come later once the community was further along.

Telling Their Story – with an Emotional Edge.

We focused on developing a video that showed the benefits of living in their community. Yes, there wasn’t a community built to shoot video, but we were able to curate a series of stock videos that reflected how awesome living in that community would be.

Just showing a series of videos wouldn’t be enough: so we incorporated text to highlight exactly what those benefits were. But it has to be short, because at any age, we’re all members of The Short Attention Span Society!

Because of our experience in the 55 plus senior community space, we knew how to expand on the benefits of  the community. We wrote the content, and created the pages for:

Of course, there’s still pages that show their floor plans, amenities, and the benefits of renting vs, buying a home.

We also curated stock images for each of these pages. Images that reflected those benefits, and had a spontaneous feel to them.
