We wanted to share the GARYSE (Georgia Resilient. Youth-Centered. Stable. Empowered.) website we’ve done for the State of Georgia. We’ve been fortunate enough to have worked with the folks at the State of Georgia’s Division of Family and Children Services over many years.
The GARYSE website highlights programs for young adults aging out of Foster Care.
The GARYSE website, which you can see here, offers information and programs that most kids in Foster Care never had the benefit of learning. Programs like Life-Skills Training, applying for Medicaid assistance, and Credit Card/Report Assistance and Savings. (To name a few. There are 8 programs available for the young adults.)
When kids in Foster Care reach the age of 18, they have to leave the Foster Care system.
While they’re on their own then, they’re not without the help of the State’s Division of Family and Children Services.
The State of Georgia’s Division of Family and Children Services also helps with extended youth support program for emancipated youth. That’s for young adults up to age 21 years old, which is distinctively different from 0 to 18 Foster Care program.
A few highlights of the GARYSE website are:
- There’s a section with videos for how to use the website here. Those videos are broken down by the appropriate age of the visitor,
- A section that lists all the programs available, and
- A Locate a Specialist section that offers a 2 ways for kids to find the person to talk to based on where they live in the State, with an interactive map.
How the folks at Georgia found us.
As a Columbus website design company, we’re fortunate to have worked with organizations and businesses. Not just in Columbus, but scattered around the country. However, we were fortunate to be working with the amazing Lisa Lumpe (who’s from Columbus) who had worked with the Georgia Department of Family & Children Services, who made the introduction.
Of course, there’s other way organizations find us:
- Word of mouth
- Through Google from our SEO efforts, and
- By seeing our name on as a “Designed by” credit line on websites we’ve done for others.
We’ve done several plastic surgeon websites in other states as well.
These organizations and companies could work with others in their own state. But when we make a connection with someone, and they like the work we do, they select us. We also pride ourselves in helping to make their lives a little easier when it comes to their website and other marketing efforts.
So if you’re looking for a web design firm, whether you’re in Columbus or not, if you like the work we do, consider contacting us to design your website and create your marketing.
We work with clients in the non-profit world as well as those in the home building and medical industries. See examples of our work for home builders here, examples of our work for non-profits here, and our medical and plastic surgeons websites here.
