Guidelines for submitting a guest blog

Thanks for expressing your interest in providing a guest blog

We do accept guest blogs, no charge (nor do we pay for guest blogs), as long as you go by the following guidelines:

  • Content must be relevant to our audience.
  • You pick the Subject, but we’ll need to approve the topic first.
  • Your blog cannot be lifted verbatim from another blog on another website. Must be original content.
  • We’ll pick the main image for the blog.
  • Include screenshots that support the content of your blog. Place them in your document so we know where they should appear.
  • Provide the focus keyword for the blog, make sure it’s in the first sentence the blog and appears 3 or 4 times throughout the blog.
  • Use the focus keyword either in the title of the blog post or one of the subheads.
  • We’ll write the Page Title and Meta Descriptions to include your focus keyword.
  • Must be at least 500 words, but 750 – 1000 words is better.
  • No self-promotion in the text.
  • Include outbound links, but not links back to your site. (A link to your website goes with the credit line at the end of the blog.)
  • Include support images, like screenshots, to go within the blog.
  • We’ll reserve the right to edit the content as necessary.
  • We can include an image of the author or your company logo, and a link back to your site or email at the end of the blog.
  • Promote your blog through social media with a link to your blog on our website (we’ll send you the URL). If you do that we’ll be more likely to accept future guest blogs.
  • Send us one or two links to other guest blogs you’ve written so we can see your writing style

See examples of guest blogs here, here and here.
