Creating Memorable Transit Agency Projects

When a Transit Agency Needed a New Website, We Delivered.

When ODOT received a federal grant to help Ohio’s 100 (or so) transit agencies update their websites, we were one of 5 web design firms selected to create them. Our first project was for The Mary McLeod-Bethune Intervention & Enrichment Center (MBIE).

The fact MBIE didn’t have a website for us to refer to made the project truly a “from the ground up” situation. But after understanding what they were all about (and what they do is pretty amazing) we were able to deliver a great transit agency website for them.

MBIE is doing amazing work in their community.

We started by creating a simple logo, as well as shoot video and photography at their location in Mansfield. Turns out it was an education experience for both of us:

  • We learned all about what they we re doing, and
  • ‘They learned how a website comes together

They were patient and trusting of what we were doing, as we educated them is the process of creating their new transit agency website.

What set their transit agency website apart?

When we build a website, we try to bring something a little different to the project. And creating this website for MBIE was a new challenge.

Being able to shoot video onsite helped because we were able to incorporate actual photography and video of their vehicles. It also allowed us understand the intricacies of what they do. Seeing the people they help, made us understand their programs and how they help those in their community.
