Email marketing is an easy medium to track. And when done well, it's an excellent return on your investment.

But your email efforts, like any advertising, needs to educate, enlighten and if possible, even entertain. Sending out a poorly-designed email is like running a crappy ad. It affects your company image as well as your click-through rate. 

Of course, your main goal is to get someone to your website, so be sure to coordinate your website with your email. There should be a specific page on your site that relates to the email offer.
