Logos

Good design is good business, and your logo is one of the key visual elements that represents your company. So while a poorly-designed logo is a bad reflection on your company, a really well-designed logo becomes truly memorable.

Your logo is not to be mistaken for your "brand." It's only a piece of your brand identity. Your brand is that intangible feeling that separates you from your competitors in a way that resonates in your prospects' hearts, minds and spirits. And that's something we're good at helping turn into a concrete message to convey a truly substantial benefit.

AR Mellinger Elevators & Lifts

Looking for a simple logo that captured the essence of their business,
we put together this type treatment that shows the numbers
of an elevator in motion. while not losing the pronunciation of the
company name even though we used a number instead of a letter.

Logo

Sustainable Columbus

This logo started out as an abstract, futuristic interpretation of a train/streetcar (the blue element). From there, we wanted to introduce the clean and green portion, so it quickly became part transportation-related (the top part of the icon), part leaf (the bottom part of the icon). Together, we think it works as a cool interpretation of an environmentally-related organization focusing on transportation.

Ohio Air Quality Development Authority

This logo wasn't for a company per service, per se, but to promote an anniversary of a department within the State of Ohio.

Jingle Bell Run

We wanted to do something better than the over-used "running Christmas tree" graphic for the Arthritis Association's Jingle Bell Run logo. So we investigated all kinds of options, including this one where the typeface also doubles as the runner icon. Converging type to do double duty as an icon takes some time to work out the details, but the final effect makes it worthwhile.

XTALONIX

Xtalonix makes advanced ceramic materials for the wireless communications market. Their materials are found in everything from cell phones towers to the communications equipment on space shuttles. The thick part of the "X" in the logo is representative of the waves used in the measurement of radio frequencies.

E-Columbus

Logo

a la CARTE

This logo, for a program sponsored by The Greater Columbus Arts Council, was designed to (obviously) highlight the word ART as a focal point in the logo. Since the program invited recognized chefs from around Columbus for a fund-raising event for the arts community, the tie-in for the arts and culinary communities made it easy!

LINTEK

Lintek makes radar measurement equipment that, through advanced radio-frequency measurements, determines the stealth-worthiness of submarines, ships, and planes, to the plumes that come out of the engines. The equipment also can "see" cracks in roads, bridges and buildings before they appear on the surface and endanger the structures.

ONE SOURCE Signature Glassware

Designing drinkware in glass and ceramic for restaurants and liquor company promotions  is this company's specialty. We wanted to show what they do within their logo, without "reinventing" in image. Everyone knows what a wine glass looks like so depicting it immediately lets you know what the company creates.

MARKETING EXECUTIVE'S GROUP

MEG is part of the National Restaurant Association, and is comprised on Marketing VPs and Directors from some of the largest, most recognizable restaurants around the country. However, it was important that the focus wasn't on food. Though that's what the NRA is all about, the marketing folks' responsibilities cover so much more than just the food aspect of a restaurant, it had to be more general regarding imagery.

CINCO METRO CONDOS

Because CMC was a new player in their industry,
the goal of their logo was make them seem
like they've been around for a while.
The logo is intended to suggest a long and stable history,
and reflect their company's high standards.
