Columbus Ohio web design firm shows off homepage image for Music City Plastic Surgery

We've been doing a few plastic surgeon websites lately, the most recent one for the good Dr. Burgdorf, of Music City Plastic Surgery in Nashville. You can see Music City Plastic Surgery's website here.

While its only been a couple of weeks since launch, we have heard that they've gotten as many calls in the first couple weeks as they received in the past few months. Why might that be, you ask, since it is too little time for true SEO to kick in. Well, we're thinking it is the confidence that an awesome website provides a surgeon (which could apply to ANY business), especially compared to what was a fairly mediocre site before.

Not to pick on Music City: their website was pretty standard compared to most plastic surgeon's websites. But when doctors decide they want to step up their marketing, and make their website reflect the service they offer, that's when we get involved.

And even though we're a Columbus Ohio web design firm, and there's lots of web designers in Nashville, they chose us because of what we bring to the table with web design. Which is not your ordinary website.

Sure, we do responsive websites, but we also do parallax websites, which means there's different graphic elements and images that move at different speeds.

But back to what folks do on your website

Both common sense and research tell us, the more educational your website is, the more helpful your audience will find it, and, subsequently, the longer someone will stay on it. And naturally, the more pages they'll visit on your website. And the more confidence they have in your organization, the better chance they'll take the next step and make the call, or send the email through the Contact form.

When Google bases the value of your website on what your users think, and subsequently, do, on your website, it's something companies have a harder time manipulating in an effort to cheat and take short cuts to help their ranking. And Google is always trying to slap down websites that try and cheat their algorithms. That is why Google is constantly updating their algorithms: to address the websites using "black hat" techniques to rank well.

But knowing human nature, and the world of SEO, we're pretty sure there are already companies offering services to have their employees visit your website, hang out on it for 10 minutes, visiting multiple pages in an effort to try and manipulate Google into thinking there are lots of people visiting your website.

We're also pretty sure Google's algorithms will eventually have new releases which addresses that. We're guessing those algorithms will be able to pinpoint exactly WHERE visitors to your site (specifically IP addresses) are coming from. That way, they'll be able to tell if there are many visitors from foreign countries, or an abnormal amount of visitors from a single location.
